A supremely talented yet obscure vocalist who rarely recorded, Tony Landi is featured on the vintage 1957 single "Angels Cried" b/w "Bubbily Bubbly," originally released on the New York based Safari label. The single combines a tender, rock n' roll ballad on the A side, coupled with a swinging up-tempo rocker on the flip. This rare single was arranged and conducted by the great Teacho Wiltshire, the highly regarded pianist, arranger and conductor who worked with such greats as Wilson Pickett, The Drifters, Solomon Burke, The Jive Five, Chuck Jackson, Gene Pitney, and many others.
